Hi Everyone.  Our dear friend Marie Shirley is doing very well, and still gets the Big Red Machine out to a few shows.  Usually she's touring in her Toxic Challenger, but sometimes gets to shows.  Here's an update from a special show held on Memorial Day, she took Red out for the day and came home with first place.

She's too humble to post about this, so I asked permission to brag on her.  She keeps Red looking awesome.  Here's a pic from the old days.

Marie and Steve and Big Red from back in 2012.

The event is Vettes for Vets, presented by the California Automobile Museum of Sacramento, to honor Vets on Memorial Day.  The show started as a Corvette show, grew to include hundreds of muscle cars.  (Now about 200 Vettes and 200 American muscle cars.)

Marie and Red were awarded first place as Best American Muscle. !!  Rosie the Riveter presented the trophy with the flying eagle.

Event is held under the overpasses of I-5 and I-80 in downtown Sacramento.  These pictures are not fantastic, but you'll get the idea.

That's a nice show. I attended the event a few years ago, back when it was still just for Corvettes  :coolgleamA:

The theme of Vettes for Vets is legit, to honor our Vets.

Steve was a Veteran, and Marie added a tribute display of his time served.  :patriot:
