Did 66 Chargers have a fender tag?

A friend of mine just recently purchased a 66 charger, he has not found a fender tag on it. Is 1966 before fender tags were used?  He would like to get some more info on the car such as its original paint color ect. Any help on where to find this info would be appreciated.

A local guy has two 66 Chargers for sale neither have a fender tag. I've looked at them in person. Don't know if this is typical but what's the odds of both being tagless.

yes, '66 Chargers had fender tags (early '50s Mopars have fender tags & probably earlier)

Chrysler Historical (FCA Historical) will sell you copies of the IBM card micro-phish that includes original specs. of that specific VIN.
