Been driving it everyday. It's a good 20 footer. The seller was HONEST to a 'T'.
I have waited 40 years for this. It's puts a smile on my face.

WOW !  Beautiful Charger !   Back in 1969 when I was active duty in the Marine Corps, my good friend Sergeant came home one day with his brand new '69 Charger R/T in the same color and combination as yours.  I thought it was beautiful then and I think yours is now!

Congrats.

Very nice.  Enjoy driving it around.  I think that is the thing I like best about these cars.

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Mark, (triple_green), posted an ad, for a friend named Paul. And the rest is history.
I flew to Seattle, as SOON as I saw it at the airport, I said 'I'll buy it". Paul, the owner, being a calmer type said "John, check it out first; make sure it's the car you want." How cool is that?

I spent a few hours behind the wheel, and he also drove me all around. It's a hot engine as in power, and noise. The receipts for the engine work done, is quite something. I wondered if I wanted such a hot car. Paul was very easy going. "Maybe it's not the car for you". No pressure there!

I flew back to Florida and thought on it for two days. The VERY GOOD. The body is mostly original with scrapes and dings here and there. The paint is fair. But what impressed me is this, Paul drove it almost every day. It was dependable. That sold me.
I had it shipped, a dream come true. I tagged it the same day. The whole tag office heard the rumble of the 3" TTI exhaust! "We heard you pulling up"!
A/C parts are missing. So my plan is this, drive it for a month, and then, slowly work on it. This car will be a driver. (I am way behind on the house remodel, and that comes first).

First, a quieter 3" muffler,  this has woke the neighbors out of their slumber!
Next would be a gear change from 3.9 to 2.9, which was the original. (489 case) I love road trips, and the tach is about 3500+ RPMs on the interstate. So, the easiest way is a gear swap.
I love to tinker with 12V electrical, so again, rebuild the dash, clean the gauges, find A/c parts at the local junkyard. It will be a long but enjoyable project.

I want to say again, Paul the seller was VERY honest. And again, thanks to Mark, (triple_green), for posting it.
Engine is a 360 Magnum, with all kinds of goodies, and runs VERY good.
AND...my mom (84) got the first ride, and she was smiling!

Very nice 70'...I figured I was the only one out there with an appreciation for both Chargers and Lost in Space. Love em both!
I've got a 68' R/T (it's maybe a 120' footer- "Oh, the pain...the pain..Indeed!")

PlainfieldCharger

Great find for an Awesome charger! Want to mention that since you'll be driving it all the time is to watch out for other drivers as they look at your car when rolling next to you they stop driving and almost run you off the road.... :2thumbs:
