Looking to maybe upgrade my (1970) 3 core standard 26" for my 512 stroker to this

I just put in that 2 row, it's been hot here lately so I thought I'd run it hard and idle around. So far, so good.

It's not the number of cores but the size of the cores themselves.  Take a look at the aluminum radiator for Mopars made by Engineered Cooling Products.  It features two 1 inch tubes for the cores.  Many of us here are running that radiator and have seen considerable drops in temperature...

Wizard cooling offers a dual 1.25" row aluminum radiator if you really need to get things cooled down quick. I'm running the dual 1" radiator and have no cooling issues, even at idle.

I don't remember if I bought the 3 or 4 row, but I have that radiator. The  fit is ok, the upper hose is a little bent, the lower went on no problem. With the fan shroud they have, it's even more fun to get the oil filter on there. Don't fill it before you get the filter close, or use plenty of rags :eek2:
I haven't had any cooling problems. It is a decent product. It comes very well packed.

Yeah the fitment is wierd.  Some of us have all 4 bolts in, others 3, and there's some clearancing involved.  But it does work great once installed and is budget friendly...

I don't know what it costs to recore a rad these days. I had a 26" recored, with a 3 row, about 13 years ago and it cost just over $500 CAD. If we were on par right now the rad wouldn't be too bad at about $600 USD. But our dollar is in the toilet right now, and shipping is brutal, but I'm guessing I'm shelling out about $300 CAD more for the aluminum 2 row over what it would cost to get my rare original redone. I can live with that...if it fits the way it should.

Agreed.  I also think those fat 1.25" tubes will keep you very cool...

Extremely happy with my Griffin 26" 2-row radiator.
Fit, performance, appearance, everything. Even has provisions for mounting a stock shroud, if you choose. I'm running an electric fan setup, which also mounted with no problems.
In this case the extra money spent was well worth the less headaches.

No.
I used a dual-electric setup from Flex-a-Lite. It's thermostatically controlled, also wired in to the A/C so it kicks on automatically when the A/C is turned on.
The rad also has provisions for the auto trans cooler lines in the stock locations. It drops in like a factory unit.

Along with an external trans cooler.
And a Keisler auto-OD trans.

I went with this radiator and couldn't be happier! Car barely gets to T stat temps now in 100 degree traffic!! I know this is a 22" but thats what the car had so I went with it.

I also built a proper fan shroud and switched over to the Jaguar clutch. Fan Shroud is KEY for cooling!
