Hey guys,

I'm wondering on how often you would need to change the fluids on a '69 Charger. I know its usually around 3k miles or 6 months for your oil, but I'm not sure if that still applies for an old school americana :coolgleamA: Also do you need to change your transmission fluid every so often too? Is their any other fluid besides oil and tranny that needs to be changed?

I have a 1969 Charger R/T 440 big block.

Thanks in advance!

How often is the car driven?

Are you using regular or synthetic fluids?  What are your driving habits?  Car specs?  More information please...

I drive the car a few times a week. 3-4 days city. Nothing drastically far, I would say about 10 miles a week. I use regular Valvoline 10/40 for my oil. My engine is a 440 Big block 7.2 liters.

I would recommend that you buy a factory service manual for your car.  They are available as reprints or even on CD.  That fat book will tell you all of the service requirements of your car, assuming that it is in near stock form.  You can buy this book off of Amazon or eBay.

Radiator fluid and brake fluid every 2 years.
Transmission- depends- is it manual or auto. How hard do you drive it?

It's automatic. I would say I'm a moderate to low driver.
