Was looking at a project for sale, 71 charger superbee but i was wondering what actually determines it is a charger/super bee? maybe its a code on vin tag?

patbee

OK looks like it is still a wm23 for 71 superbee...

It was an option on Chargers, so I'd guess it would be a fender tag or build sheet code. :scratchchin:

for 1971 Super Bee was a model of the Charger (not an OPTION)

WM23 = Charger Super Bee
WP23 = Charger 500
WP29 = Charger SE
WS23 = Charger R/T
etc.
