What happened to the FIRST Charger? Not the prototype, not a mock up, test mule or whatever the first one production made!  :shruggy:

crj1968

Probably still molecules of it in soup cans today.    :shruggy:

I was wondering the same thing about the very first '68 charger!Does anyone know if it's out there somewhere? :scratchchin:

It's rough.

It's red.

A former member owns it. :Twocents:

Daytona R/T SE

It was a very long time ago on here in internet years.

I think it was supposed to be the first '68... :scratchchin:

Might have been ONE of the first '68s... :shruggy:

It was supposed to be the "Official" car of DodgeCharger.com.

Members started donating money for it's restoration...

Then...

Things went sideways...

myk

Oh THAT car.  Yeah I'd heard about that debacle....

Nice find!  :2thumbs:

So, how about the first '70?  ;D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

b5blue

That's a good start...I have a 70.  :2thumbs: But what about #1?

That '68 charger wasn't the first one or number 2.It was the second last '68 charger built,if I understood it correctly.
So nobody knows where the number 1's are?
Shame they changed them every year back then. These days you can't tell any of them if they are5 or 10 years old, especially European cars. These cars all look the same!
