Custom car from the 70s

Charger 69 RT maching numbers. Trailer queen from the early 70s. Still in same shape.

Guy used to drive it around Dayton Ohio all the time.  He had it listed for sale for around 15,000. around 2000-2001 I believe.

Looks like it also has rear tail pipes, so the side pipes are just for show?

I like it. I'm not sure why. I much prefer original.  I can't think of any "custom" car that I thought looked good. This one does something for me. .

 yes I remember this car for sale !!   as awesome as it is &   a real time machine , from way back when     ,

To stock if you know the history.
Tha car was in the family and a joung guy
Called Dalford bought it Brand new in
Miami valley Dodge on chrysler payment
Credit.
The joung guy like customcars and have
Its own shop. He custom build it and won
Several awards. Then he died in 1978
34 years old of cancer, them his brother had it for
Several year an was in the family untill i
Bought it.One Nice story was that they drive
Up to Elvis home in the early 70s and the
Gate went up..
Then Dalford drive it to the door and out
Of the house came security.
They tought that Elvis brother have bought
A new car. I have 2 another mopar cars
So i am not in a hurry to do a resti for this

I like the car as is because it's a time capsule. I remember seeing cars like this when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s and now most of them are gone.

Have a sense of history.  Leave this green car as-is.  

Not every old custom should be preserved.  But this one was a perfect classic example of the era, it's well known, and it's in great shape.  


Mostly stock 2nd-gen Chargers are more expensive than rare.  Go shopping with a blank check and you can find dozens of them for sale any time you want.

Yeah, I'd leave it the way it is.  That Magnum Force '70 a couple posts up......    I'd roll in that any day of the week!!!!!

Judging by the slapper bars they also didn't know how the MOPAR rear suspension works.
