I just look at it and see $$ to convert it back to stock.

Guy used to drive it around Dayton Ohio all the time.  He had it listed for sale for around 15,000. around 2000-2001 I believe.

Looks like it also has rear tail pipes, so the side pipes are just for show?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I like it. I'm not sure why. I much prefer original.  I can't think of any "custom" car that I thought looked good. This one does something for me. .

I like the car as is because it's a time capsule. I remember seeing cars like this when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s and now most of them are gone.

Have a sense of history.  Leave this green car as-is.

Not every old custom should be preserved.  But this one was a perfect classic example of the era, it's well known, and it's in great shape.

Mostly stock 2nd-gen Chargers are more expensive than rare.  Go shopping with a blank check and you can find dozens of them for sale any time you want.

igozumn

Yeah, I'd leave it the way it is.  That Magnum Force '70 a couple posts up...... :2thumbs:   I'd roll in that any day of the week!!!!!

Judging by the slapper bars they also didn't know how the MOPAR rear suspension works.

:iagree: too...there are some nice examples of custom jobs from yesteryear that have survived & I'm glad they haven't been stripped of that part of their history. Like this Daytona, for example, which I believe is still wearing it's paint job from the period...

Now, this one I have no problem returning back to stock.

Some interesting 70 custom cars there.....some I like (the purple one with the flamed roof and the rainbow arches (fenders!) is cool)....some I'm not so keen on (the spoiler on the red flamed one??...well what can I say. I'm a child of the 70s and would have laughed at that back then)!

Yep we love our Mopars in Europe too......and in the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark etc) they have loads of them!

I don't know about the '68. But on the '70, I would guess that the owner decided the lights would look better in the middle of the body line. :shruggy: It does look kinda funky.
