What props do you use to display your car?

It certainly does!

nvrbdn make sure those speakers are secured as well as her headlights, otherwise a speaker will get knocked off and you know what it will hit!

On my 60 Plymo which is a rat car, I make sure to keep a healthy supply of cig wrappers, empty shotgun shell boxes, Easy Rider magazines, and crumpled beer cans on the floor boards.

I occasionally clean this stuff out of my other cars

Had 1 young girl crying last year.
And asked me why Scrat the Squirrel was under the tire.
Damm the education nowadays

Negative on the huge signs.     Leave your past car show trophies at home.   

Especially not a fan of those crying children leaning against the bumper.   

Drive in restaurant schtick does work on late 50's cars or woodies.   

The point is,  "don't over do it".

  Yep, I have never added extras when showing. seen several cars with the extras including model kits etc....  Had the drive in speakers and the serving trays  (which were supposed to be in the movie room with the 56 buick couch I am building) but wondered what they would look like for a show. after the reply's I think best to keep them for the movie room.

For an indoor Car Show such as AutoRama I display a professionally prepared sign that provides details about the car, and sometimes an old parking meter mounted on a section of pipe with a base secured to the floor.
For outdoor shows nothing but the car.

I agree with AERO426 about previously won awards, leave them home.

And might I suggest any Crybaby dolls still in existence be torched.

I have seen cars with the trunks open and an album of the car's restoration with a factory brochure and may some small props, jackets, oil can's old tools, etc. Those are ok. But, anything else detracts from the car in my opinion. Years ago I remember seeing a guy with a '50's convertible that had a pair of cheerleader legs sticking up out of the back seat. Now that was funny.

I made up a sign for my car with some of it's street racing history and old pics. I mounted it in a 5 gal bucket filled with concrete so that it (hopefully) won't get knocked over. I recently found a stack of tickets that I'd received back in the day and thought I'd display them. But, they are yellow carbon copies and don't show well. Maybe I'll scan them in see if I can manipulate them somehow.

I've never understood the crybaby doll...is it supposed to signify that the kid is having a miserable time at the car show?  A gorgeous girl in a miniskirt is probably the best prop for a car LOL
