Don't even dwell on it! Just enjoy your Charger and the life that surrounds it. When the day comes it won't matter, we'll all be gone and our cars will be worth nothing to anyone.

Well, that's my problem.I'm away from my family earning money so i can get my charger restored but if the thing is really coming, which sounds surreal,i say fuck everything and just spend time with my loved ones instead of chasing money.I know it's crazy to think of our world is going to end soon and i1m not that kinda guy who starts panicking but that just made me thinking what IF.

Oh well, hope that thing will just fly past us at billions of miles from us.

The world is indeed going to end soon.   The important question is---What does soon mean?

We live close to a star (the sun) that can burp at any moment and give new meaning to the term "global warming"/"climate change"in just 9 minutes or so.

I look at this stuff this way.---When I'm driving on a two lane road in traffic I could die at any moment from the flick of someones wrist on their steering wheel.  If I drove with that on my mind all the time I just might give up driving all together.

We all know that we all are going to die. --Not knowing when is not a bad thing.

There is so much absolute crazy in that video, I don't think you need to worry. :)

The NASA WISE mission has ruled out anything like what she's yammering on about.  BUT, let's say you did believe in Tyche.  With an estimated period of about 2 million years, the chance it would come close enough to Earth to cause any trouble in the next, say, 100 years is 0.005%

I particularly liked the 'asteroid redirect project' theory, though!

Enjoy your family and enjoy your Charger.  We could go at any moment, but it won't be from anything in that video!

Whether the world ends tomorrow or 1,000,000 years from now, I'll still keep doing whatever I have to do; what else can I do but that?

I say bring it on. I'll just turn over with a grin on my face.

I have to say I have always though that it will be a big rock that takes us out. We've seen Jupiter get blasted twice already just in our lifetime. It's not going to be some fantasy planet, but just one of the multitudes of uncharted rocks floating around in the Ort cloud or in a radical orbit.

But where's the challenge in that? I'm crossing my fingers for something more like a zombie apocalypse, alien invasion, or "rise of the machines"  scenario. It would be a shame to see all my ammunition go to waste.  :rotz:

The sky has been falling as long as mankind has been around. I'm just going to enjoy my Family and Charger and not worry about it...

A big rock mixing things up here could be seen as another beginning.

Like a do over for life.  :o
This last go around with how life evolved is a great big mess according to some. :slap:

Big lizards---scratch that one.
Humans--- catch the big rock if you can and toss it back.  --Or not. :nana:

Agreed on the big rock taking us out.  Something will probably foul-up our civilization in a big way sooner or later.  IMO these things are likely more common than conventional history thinks.  They only seem to add one to the list of hits when they find a huge crater.  That's not a very accurate method for guessing their frequency.

Zombies?  Not possible unless they're still alive.

Aliens?  Meh. If they wanted our place they would probably have it already.

Rise of the Machines?  Never gonna happen IMO.  In the next 50-100 years we will discover that genetically altering a living creature is way more do-able than making machines act alive.  If one of our creations eventually kills us it will be something we did with DNA, not metal.

Bushes/Clintons?  This one scares me.

Can you visualize it....a giant rock is hurtling toward earth.....the planet has less than 30 mins before it's completely destroyed.....and some guy will take this chance to loot a big screen TV.....  ::) of which he won't even have time to get it home and out of the box......but he has one.... :smilielol:

Yes,that was my first thought as well digging into the subject! They are rushing to colonise Marsh and making various plans to alter the course of this Planet.Sure as hell they wouldn't tell you just like there was no media warnings about that close encounter last year in Russia! If that was a bit bigger and closer we would not be here now!
I wish zombies happen first before any planet falls on our head.
What they said because that planet comes by us every 3,5000 years(heck knows how they come up with this number)and the closeness of it disturbs our planet cycle causing 10,000 years of earthquakes and such. This is how Atlantis disappeared.Again,is it true?Have they found Atlantis so they know what happened to it or it's just a fantasy!?
Personally I'd like to know when my time is up so I can accordingly.

I can see and understand wanting to know about coming disasters when something can be done for one's self. Such as move away from a volcano that is acting up.  Or moving to higher ground for those that are the "global warming" sort.

But let's say something like this can be pinpointed.----The big rock will be here in 30 days (for example)---
I for one don't think the last 30 days the world population would go through knowing the end is at hand would be better for them.  All I see is panic and misery for a month.

We all know we are going to die but if the time is going to be sooner than expected with a date, I find it hard to believe that those last days would be better if the date was known. :Twocents:

cavemanno1

I hope that in that case everyone will realise that there is no reason to hate each others,no point being a terrorist and blow up places. But society would not work because people would just quit their jobs so no running water, electricity, food which lead into chaos and anarchy.
So I guess knowing the end isn't a good thing.
On a personal level would be good as you would see what's important.I know I would not spend a minute without my son and wife!
