Any idea on how to make your A/C tensioner pulley to stop screeching at higher RPMs ??

? Stock it goes with the alternator.  The compressor has way more drag than the alt though.  If the belt grooves are not worn or cupped, try new belts?  Hard to get matched sets anymore though.   :scratchchin:

The question is about the tensioner pulley?
If the screeching comes from that pulley it's odd unless it is not turning.
I have had them fail from dry toasted bearings and the sound they make is more of a rough or rattle sound (if they are still turning).
To eliminate the tensioner pulley as a problem. Release the tension and feel the pulley for smooth turning and no side wiggle.
If it checks out that leads to belt slippage as a source for the screeching from another cause.

yes, i'm sorry it is the tensioner pulley.  The belt only goes around the crank pulley to the water pump pulley and then to that small little tensioner.  It has nothing to do with the A/C.  Sorry guys.

Yes, this pulley has always screeched and the belt looks fine??  I will check for the wiggles.   Thanks.

Check the pulley alignment as well, as that will cause a squeal.

The tensioner pulley has a sealed ball bearing inside, the bearing is under a spot-welded cover so  can't be replaced and remain stock appearing. Just replace it with a generic pulley.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
