Wheel Dollies Going On Sale At Canadian Tire...

I've been looking about for wheel dollies for the car recently, and was eyeing the ones available from Princess Auto and Canadian Tire.  Apparently, according to customer reviews, the ones from Canadian Tire are easier to use, as they have nylon, rather than cast steel wheels.  Advertised as having a 2500 pound capacity, I assume that means 1250 pounds each.  Should be more than what I need.

They're normally $89.99 (Canadian) for a pair, and are going on sale for $67.49 from April 29th until May 5th.  I'm in Alberta, but am assuming this is likely a nationwide thing.  Might be a good idea to confirm, just in case.

Here's a link to the item...

No idea if anyone really NEEDS a set of these, but I figured I'd throw it out there just in case.

Plastic or nylon wheels suck.  :Twocents:

How so?  They're not as durable as steel?

Things like drill shavings, small rocks, cable ties, small screws etc all cut in to the wheels and damage them. Sometimes this stuff sticks into the nylon and stops them from rolling which is really annoying. I find the metal wheeled ones a lot better.

I have these ones. They work great.

Small debris will stop metal wheels in their tracks.

It's funny, because I have a really nice floor jack.  It works very well, is reliable, etc....but the ONLY complaint I have is that I have found the metal wheels to be a monster-sized pain in the neck.

Call me a dummy for going this way, but I'm calling this an experiment.  I picked up two sets so I can swivel the car about in the garage.  I suppose I'll just have to see how it goes...
