This may seem long but it's all about the problem I have been dealing with for the past year.  My 08 charger is having terrible starting issues.  It cranks but won't start.  The motor turns and everything.  About a year ago my dear brother drove it through about 8 inches of water.  It died out of course and wouldn't start back.  I took it to the dealership and was told it needed a new motor.  I had a new motor (2.7L v6) put in, it started, Yay! I drove it for about a week then more problems started.  Hard to start then wouldn't start at all, the throttle light came on.  I have replaced just about everything I can think of.  Here is a list of new parts... coil packs (6), spark plugs (6), fuel pump, throttle body, starter relay. It finally started and ran after the plugs. The check engine light came on so I took it to have it checked, they said it needed a thermostat so I added that to the list of new parts.  Then yesterday when I was taking my son to the dentist I stopped at a red light. When I tried to start again it sputtered bad, 1500 rpm is as high as it would go no matter how much gas I gave it. The throttle light came back on and started blinking. I pulled into the dentist office which wasn't far.  Turned it off and now it won't start again.  I have thought about replacing the map sensor but at this point I am not sure if that will help or not.  Someone please help me.  I can't really afford to take it back to the dealership again unless I absolutely have to.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump? Swap out fuel pump relay with a good one if car now starts your fuel pump is on its way out.

Was the relay changed too? Should always change the relay with the pump.
