I called today to renew my subscription to Mopar Action magazine. The woman that I talked to said that MA is no longer being published. This current issue is the last.

RCCDrew

What?!?!? Did Gromer or EBerg die or something???

John_Kunkel

From E-Booger hisself:

Guys 'n' gals:

The reports of our death are a bit premature. Here's the straight scoop:

The magazine (print) has continued to sell well, and ad revenue has also been strong. The problem has been newsstand "space"...it is obvious that fewer and fewer outlets sell magazines, and those that do devote less floor and shelf space. The internet has been a "disruptive technology" for all print media. The publisher's current distributor decided he had to carry fewer titles. We made the first few cuts over prior years but this looks tough.

The August issue has been printed and will be distributed as usual. Harris (the publisher) is scrambling to find new distribution (newsstand), if that happens, there won't even be a hiccup. If not, we may upgrade the online version (a lot!) and send a print issue to subscribers.

Either way, thanks for your support!

Cliff Gromer, Ed.
Rick Ehrenberg, Tech Ed

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I like print magazines but I could do with a digital version.  Less space used in my house and it keeps the magazine alive at least in electronic form...

Of course. I just renewed for 2 more years.  :pullinghair:

Apparently Gromer is going to Christler Power and they are going to honor the MA subscriptions. No word on Ehrenberg.

It's not true.  Gromer just posted a bit ago that they are still working with Harris to get everything resolved to continue Mopar Action as is.

:iagree: :iagree:

I always wished they would have updated with the times. They would have been more profitable.

I don't care for the digital publictions.   Too hard to read on the toilet.

Ok... well stuff hit the fan today.  So MA is done.  But they have not come together with Chrysler Power for future work.  They are in discussions with a few different Mopar Mags about future offerings.
