What's the difference between a 69 R/T and a R/T SE charger? I have one of each in my sights, but i cant tell the difference.

Off the top of my head the SE should have a woodgrain dash, chrome dress up around brake and gas pedals, leather seats in the front only and of course the SE emblems on the sail panel instead of Charger emblems. Also there should be an A47 code on the fender tag.

You also get the Sport steering wheel, Deep dish wheel covers, the A01 Light Pkg, and the L31 Hood Mounted Turn Signals.

The hood mounted turn signals weren't just for Special Edition Chargers.

He meant they were standard equipment with the SE package.

given a choice  ,  if I had the opportunity to  buy a charger again  & there were two identical color combo 69s
 & one was a R/T SE ,
 & the other was a R/T ,
   would choose the R/T ,
reason !  think the R/TSE with all the wood grain  SE name plates ,  takes away the muscle image a little , soo much so I WAS going to leave off the SE name plates on mine & fit a standard black pebble grain dash , while putting the car back together after I done a nut & bolt rebuild / resto .

no offence other fellow R/T SE owners , its no secret & would own a few of every color  & option combo if I had the dough   I love them all  :drool5:

Another thing to consider is a RT/SE car is more likely to be loaded with other cool options.
It would come down to options, colors, and production numbers if it were me choosing between the two.

The SE package gives it a sportier image, which I do appreciate. I have the woodgrain treatment in my tan interior car and I think it is a bit much with that color. It looks best on black interior cars IMHO.

I find the "SE" stuff on my R/T SE gives a "luxury" car kind of feel ?
Mine is Tan interior as well with the wood grain, and I find the tinted glass filters a very rich comfortable feeling to it.
I like it.

I agree with Mr. Challenger340 all up to the antiquated barge truck like feel....  just kidding... I love them too.  More options... what is not to love  or want at Charger with less options? :slap: :shruggy:  that is crazy talk.   :popcrn:  But that would be my sole bias option :Twocents: :shruggy:

Alternatively if it is a 69 Charger what is not to love..

oh yeah, one more thing I think my favorite option with them is not the dash or other common options that come with them ... it's the leather seats.  Feels good over vinyl.

I prefer the R/T SE as I like the woodgrain dash, leather seats and light package, and all the goodies that come with it. However, I don't typically like A/C and most R/T SE's usually come loaded with options and that means A/C. I'm lucky enough to own 2 of them and both are 4spd's, so I don't have to worry about the A/C part. I grew up in Southeast TN and live in GA, so I could definitely use some A/C in the summer.  I just open the "cod" coolers, roll the windows down and roll on. Although in my older years now, it's gets harder to do during heat of the day.
