it sure looks like black to me.
Half the price might be a better asking price.

Damn Mytur, I agree twice with you, it's black and maybe good at 23k.

What's the world coming to when you are right twice?

It means that you are almost as wise as me. There is hope for you.  :2thumbs:

By "Trumping", I meant to make a painfully ignorant statement in order to prove my point; that is all.  It has quite literally nothing to do with me being Canadian.

Not with that Green on Green interior...   The bad thing is, that's not what bugs me the most.  Who the hell thought the red stripe on the hood was a good idea?!?  More so, why would you leave the "Camera Mount" on the trunk.  If you're trying to sell the car; PUT THE F****** wipers and antenna back on!  :RantExplode:

He figures it's a Charger, so it'd sell even if there was an elephant turd on the hood...

$20k for a real R/T in that shape?!  You are out of your mind  :nana:  NADA and Hagerty come pretty close to each other... for a #4 car you're looking at at least $30k.  And this is more of a #3 car, so around $40k or so.  And from what I've seen on Clist, stealbay, and other sites.. Chargers are hot and selling for near these prices.  You wish you could buy that car for $20k  :pity:

His $46k isn't far off from what I can tell from this armchair.

Chargers are hot and often sell for higher prices than other B-body Mopars, but, after numerous attempts on fleabay with a BIN of 46 large, that one sure aint selling. Any guess why?

With the trunk painted silver, that goofy red beak stripe, ugly wheels, aluminum radiator, wipers and antenna off the car, the hole in the firewall covered with duct tape, electric fan and bad wiring are all detriments to the car and make the car less presentable. However, the biggest detriment to the car is that green interior. Honestly, in today's market, I think it's a low-30's car. Sure, it may be original paint, combined with the obvious problems noted above, to me, there's too many dings  and paint flaws. I'd want to repaint it.

Lol getting judged by # of posts.. that's a new one  :2thumbs:

Anyway I'm on board with you there turbyn.. it's not worth $46, but close.  You're at low 30s, I'm at high 30s, let's meet in the middle and email the guy with what we think he should ask for the car

verdelaw

I looked at it again.. that nose stripe is hideous.  HIDEOUS!  Knocks like $3k off the car to start  :eek2: I even like green cars, why would anyone do that stripe  :shruggy:

Here's a delusional price:  http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/5550720801.html

$40k for a clone (and zero pictures except a tiny engine bay shot)

You know, I've got a woordrow for a 68 R/T with factory a/c and if it had a black interior, I'd be all over it, but that green leaves me limp. As such, I'm stuck at 30,001.00.

Somebody just blew up the estimates.  Which one of you opened the bidding at $46,000?  Goes by p***3 at ebay.

You guys are harsh.

That red stripe might have been done 30 or 45 years ago.  Lots of people did that kind of stuff back before any '68 Charger was a rare classic.

The trunkfloor might have been repainted with Rust Oleum long ago too.
Even if it wasn't so long ago, I can think of worse things to deal with.  I would rather buy a repainted original trunk than a rusty one or a replaced one.

The aluminum radiator is almost mandatory for cruising in a warm climate.  Modern gasoline runs the engines hotter than the original stuff did.

They are saying it's an original car, not a restored one.  That means it hasn't been restored.  Its condition is the product of normal (non-collector) owners.

Compared to most 68 R/Ts on Ebay it's a damn sight more original than normal.  I don't think it's unreasonable for the seller to want to brag about this thing's originality.
