This is not where the US is heading at all, I don't understand people who say that this country is going to hell. That's a lot of paranoia. You have unmatched freedom here. You can be a success story here in a 1001 ways.

No single country is perfect and people will always try to abuse the system, but you have to look at the big picture. It's damn good living here.

It is true it's good living here.

Yet some of us see trends, things happening, that point us in the wrong direction.

Look at how free speech is being attacked on college campuses. Some protesters are not satisfied with protesting....they want to shut down opposing views so no one will hear those views.

A very slippery slope here.

There's always been a slippery slope on numerous issues. We have a long road to go toward a better society to be sure, but we've come a long way as well.
