Need pics: 68 Door handle rod assembly

My door has no handles and the only assembly it has inside are the long sheathed rods, when pulling up they release the door latch. I'm trying to find the missing parts to connect a door handle to this rod so I can open the door with a handle.

I think there are two mechanisms, from the door handle to sheathed rod(term?) and from the lock cylinder to the lock rod.

Thanks, these pictures are helping me a lot too. A lot of hack work have been done to my locks and it's difficult to figure out how they originally operated.
