MOVED into new house and BACK ONLINE...

Sheesh, life can get pretty hectic a times, and frankly I'm getting tired... My last post I had just been diagnosed with pneumonia among other things, then 4 days into my antibiotics I was abruptly woken to the sound of banging on my front door at 10 am ( I was out of it because of being sick and taking Codeine). Standing there is my landlord handing me a 30 day notice to move out because the house is going on the market. At this point I'm unable to even walk a flight of stairs and i've got to think about packing up my whole house and finding another place to rent...unfreakinbelievable!!! Actually, I was pretty calm at the time, but I think it was due to an inability to get worked up...just too weak and out of sorts.

So, as of Friday I'm out of my old place and into the new one (only 7 days overlap in rent...a new record for me). This new place is actually much nicer than the old and is only $100 more a month. It has a pellet stove, dual pane windows throughout, the 2 car garage is long enough to park the Charger plus 3 feet front and rear, it has solar water, a LARGE Honda generator all wired for the house and the owner said I can also use it for camping or whatever I want, it has a 15 foot by 30 foot deck out back and I have so much room in the living room that my big screen doesn't look too big anymore and I'm looking for a pool table to fill the other half of it, laundry room is indoors (hated doing it in the garage in 20 degree weather) and it has an intercom system...it's about 1,700 sq feet total. At this point, with the rent I'm paying I think I need to start looking for a house to buy....wasting rent is really getting to me, but the market needs to turn in favor of the buyer before I jump in at all.

So, that's where I've been...sorry I've missed the IM's and anything I should have responded to. I will be around as much as I can, but now I have the task of actually unpacking and getting settled in, so my time here will be sporatic.

One question for anyone who knows: Are you supposed to paint the silver on the front grille first or the black...or does it matter? Is one way easier than the other because I have the black sprayed first and I'm having a HELL of a time masking off to shoot the silver....

Sounds like things are looking up. I know how you feel about moving when sick. When my wife and I moved out of our first house she was pregnant with #2 and she, our #1 daughter and I all had fevers while I was trying to pack the house. I finally went to the doc and demanded antibiotics so I could get something done. That sucked.

Congrats on your new place! Once the dust settles, post some pics of your Charger in the garage. :icon_smile_big:

I can relate to being peeved about paying rent, my wife & I rented for 10 years, and it still pisses me off when I think of all that equity I flushed down the drain.  :icon_smile_angry:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
