440 valve covers: bolts, studs, or both?

For a '69 engine. I had aftermarket covers which had studs in the center and bolts on the corners. I've seen pictures where it's reversed and the studs are on the corners. How did they come from the factory?

I only use studs, with a cork gasket,  never have major leaks.  makes its easier to pull them or polishin etc, no need for silicone or spray adhesive
