Transmission cooler lines

When I tried to remove my transmission cooler lines I had a really hard time trying to get them out without bending them so I left them alone and removed them once the engine was out. They're in a sorry looking state so I'll think I'll buy new ones. Is it advisable to install these before I install the drive train? I'll be lowering the car over the installed engine/trans/K member. Maybe it's not as hard as it seemed to be and I wasn't having a good day.   ;)

If it were me (and I think I'll be involved in this somehow :icon_smile_big:) I'd attach 'em to the trans and tie 'em up to the engine until you (we :icon_smile_big:) mount the engine to the k frame. Could possibly feed 'em through after but I'm not sure w/o bending them to do so.

I'll order the lines once I figure out what timing tape I want. I think it's a good idea to get the lines in place before we drop the car on the vroom vroom parts.  :yesnod:

I installed mine from the front back with the engine in, easy.

Dirk, I bought a new set of cooler lines from Inline Tube but realized I can't use them/are not ready for them.  I have them sealed in the box; lemme know if you want to buy them...

Same here- no problem

Save yourself the headache and go with braided steel hoses. So much easier to install when they are flexible.

Ditto, they needed to be tweaked just slightly but that was likely due to my radiator. It's a touch bigger than the stock radiator where the lines connect.

If I can slide them in with the engine in place I'll go that route, I have way too much left to do just to get the engine and trans into place by the end of the month so the lines will have to wait. Thanks for the help!
