At this point it's got to be going overseas with the amount of money bid on the car so far or shill bidding like crazy. Either way it will fetch an insane amount of money and the unfamiliar buyer will have a nice car.

I guess it really pays to do some research or at least pay someone else to research the car.

I noticed that on the tailpanel, there's no chrome trim around the area that should be blacked out in flat black, (but isn't). I wonder if this car is a clip?

Hopefully no one on here is buying this.....good to have this site and the knowledge of its members.....

looking like the body has been swapped ( re bodied ) going by the fender tag ! , amongst other things .  imo   :Twocents:
be interesting to   chemically strip / soda blast , the body shell  & inspect  its  stamped vin #s & various other things to see whats going on  :scratchchin:

Where's kerndog wanting to either sh** in his showroom or kick him in the nuts for a re-body lol

64 thousand dollars! Yikes!

Hopefully the owner won't be going to the Internet to brag about the car. Especially here or a few other MOPAR websites as no doubt that the owner will be brought up to speed on what that car really is.

the fender tag is fake so you can't go by that.

Thanks tan top.....that's what we would call a "cut n shut" or a "ringer"! Ringer is more often applied if one or both of the halves has been sourced from a stolen or written off car...

Yes  , true !! that  has a number of mistakes .
apart from the AC firewall !  that should not be on that car according to the fender tag , the body !  on the under side pictures , looks like a early 69 ,which I would have thought , would of  had a SPD maybe ...  late December 68 or early January 69 ,  going by the sequential # . but thinking  if it was a January SPD  ( then the vin stamped on the motor is prolly wrong for that  )  it has the extra body plugs missing each side !....  that is found on  later built 69 cars . not sure when the change of floor pan stamping occurred ,   maybe !   St Louis had  more of a stock pile of the older floor sections  , than Hamtramck built cars  , or  unless , this car has  had lots of stuff replaced.  i'm far from a expert  , just whats running through my mind  ,  maybe  its something as simple as, the car once was a auto &  who ever decided to make it a four speed A33 , & make up their own fender tag  & re stamped  some numbers  :shruggy: .  either way lots of iffy stuff  imo ,  looks like someone ground off part of the casting number on the trans case ,  :P  prolly caught it with the grinder , trying to remove the original vin on the trans  :shruggy:

side note
picture of the  dash vin tag below  , I had saved some years before  , :scratchchin:

The lower right corner of the stamped area also drops away a bit.....again probably the result of grinder misuse!

As I said earlier, the trans stamp pad is missing a lot more than correctness on an 833.

A shame for them to tarnish what otherwise seems to be a fairly good used car seller.

on the under side pictures , looks like a early 69 ,which I would have thought , would of  had a SPD maybe ...  late December 68 or early January 69 ,  going by the sequential # . but thinking  if it was a January SPD  ( then the vin on the motor it prolly wrong for that  )  it has the extra body plugs missing each side !....  that is found on  later built 69 cars .

I'm more of a 68 person, but can you please elaborate on the floor pan & body pan & extra body plugs? Curious minds must know.

as mentioned above ,  these plugs were added sometime , during the E series 69 model run , cars with a  SPD of 69 , not E68 ,  ,all 69 daytonas had/ have them, as do all F series 70 . I did have a lot of pictures & close SPDs saved , of  69 E series chargers ,  with & with out  these extra plugs , from both B & G  assembly plants , trying to work out at what SPD , they first started appearing , sadly I lost all that info along with a lot of other charger stuff , when my computer blew up a few years back  :icon_smile_blackeye: . also  cant remember if they coinside with the switch from two battery cooling holes in the core support to just one hole &  or tall bumper guards .....   , like I mentioned , i'm no expert on any of this  , its just pictures & SPDs  & original cars ive looked at studied over the years & stuff I've  learnt from clever members on this awesome site   , that know more about these cars , than I ever will.

A few of you almost said it,
Myturbinsdirty was on the right track,  yes car was a 70 ! Shocked go back through al the images and you will see the little details to a 70 production ,
Yes a 70 body
Lets see who can list the little details , come lets see how many you can see once you know it's a 70 shell, several have been mentioned already  :shruggy:

Obviously the pistol grip proves that it's a '70.   :icon_smile_big:
