5" bs:
and they rub when I turn tight. I think 5.5" would be best, then shim 1/4"

Hi guys, I would have a possibility to get some 15x10 rims with an ET -44. Took me pretty long to understand how to reference that to the American backspace and offset numbers but I believe the rim has 4 inches backspace. In other words the guy said he measured from where the wheel hub to the back lip and got 10cm which is 4 inches. From same location to front lip there was 17cm which is 6 inches. The whole rim is 10 wide so it even makes sense! :O :) But what do you guys think is there any way these would fit under the Charger?

And thanks for the answer! :)

15x10 4 in back space will not fit on a 68-70 charger, but from the way you describe the wheel you have that would be a 9in wheel, so it should fit.

4" of backspace will hit the quarter panel for sure.

4" of backspace will hit the springs for sure.  You will need to shim it out about an inch to be closer to 5" backspace and add 3" studs to be safe for the wheel to mount to.

4 in bs is further from the spring than 5

You are right, I was thinking the opposite but they still won't fit.

He said they were 15x10's and with 4" bs they would not fit.  If they truly are only 15x9s he should be ok.

very true IF it is a 9 in wheel, he said it is 10 total so subtract about .5 from each side.

I think it's worth it. Those fat wide Charger quarters are screaming for fat wheels and tires.
295/50/15's on 15x10's look great under any Charger!  :2thumbs:

So 5.5" BS or 5"  :popcrn:

i just put 325-50-15 on my car.  my wheels are 15x10 with 5 bs, had to bend the outer wheel well lip, when turning into my drive way it is very steep, the tire rubs on the Inner wheel well, if it was 5.5 bs it would be real bad.  every car is a little different so it is important to measure everything first.
