Heres my situation. .....i did away with  my reverse lights on my 69......i have a custom built hurst automatic shifter w no provisions 4 neutral safety ..... my questions are....if i dont use any harness at all,  will the car still start?  Can I just snip the outside pin wires off and just run the center pin wire to the starter relay?   Thx much

Just ground that wire....pretty sure....  :scratchchin:

Yes, that's how my car was jury rigged for a while...

Ground the wire at the start relay. Make a jumper that runs from the relay mounting screw to the terminal the NSS would plug onto. The car will crank in gear so be mindful but I used that cheat for many years. (Then nothing down there matters till you figure out something.) When I finally got around to fixing mine I left the jumper hanging there for a "just in case".  :2thumbs:

If the NSS and wires are intact, this would be the best choice because you would still maintain the Neutral Safety.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
