Perhaps if one has the ability to do body work themselves and save 15+ grand, I can agree with that figure, but since I don't do bodywork myself, I'm sticking to the original figure.   

Assuming that the car can be bought for 20 and you put 50 into it, is it worth 70?

just comparing my tag to this one as my car is very similar beside color and sunroof  i just noticed on my tag it has D32 - which decodes to HD-A-727 torque flite  & also some years A-998  what is a A-998 ?

No, I mean, I passed on the South Dakota "Crazy Horse R/T Sunroof NOM Charger" back in 1998ish, I think. It was $18k, as it still sits  in the same condition today.

So this one done, and I am being generous, would be a $50k car restored.

Forget the big AZ auctions. I buy my cars at prices which even keep my wife happy.  :Two cents: I think others like to overpay.
