Hi there,

What is you opinion on the price of this 71 front fender? (1250$)
eBay item number: 171949339809

Is this what I have to expect if I need to purchase a 71 front fender in usable condition?
Are there other places than ebay I should look for parts?

I am located in Norway, Europe so it is easiest to purchase online and have it shipped.

Seems a bit pricey for that particular fender with the rust holes.

no way! SPECIALLY at that price ( then add the shipping to Europe ). If that how it looks the rust through the paint, I can't imagine how is all around underneath the fender. Common areas to get rust it's the "dogleg" area ( between door and wheel ) and that's normally easy to fix and replacement patches are available around. Get rust on top must be pretty much a really shot fender all around. That area barelly got a full antirust/undercoating treatment

just my opinion.

For that price you should definitely have better photos available to you. I would request some photos of the fender after its removed from the car. Seller doesn't sound like he really knows the condition of the fender.

Thanks for your opinions and feedback on the price level!

My issues are not rust in the fenders, but that the wheel arches are cut out!

I bought the car like a Richard Petty replica and it was fun for some years driving around like that.
But now I am wanting to  turn the car more original and paint it another color.

I have considered to try and reconstruct the wheel arches from scratch with sheetmetal, but it will require so many hours if at all possible.
Managed to acquire one driver side front fender in good usable condition so at least I can take measurements of that one if I need.

You could get a 72 then to patch one in another arpind the wheel well, or get a trully decent 71, or a cheaper 71 able to cut the side and patch it on your top side of fender.

That could work for patching, but not on that price, definitelly.

I bought a really nice rust free one for $600 and I thought that was too high!
