I have a volt meter that I'd like to install in my '69 Charger.  What part of the wiring should it be connected to?  Does it connect right up to the alternator wiring, or should I just tap into the ignition somewhere so it becomes active when the key is on?

off the ing. wiring.

if you use the battery- the voltmeter will be on all the time and will eventually drain the battery!

Maybe accesories is also a good option ? ( black wire on ingition harness )... you will have testing also on accesories position on your key what is good if you have aftermarket electric devices added...

I don't know earliers but 3rd gens does it have an accesories prong on fuse box if you have full accesories source on underdash harness.
