Hi guys,

I bought aluminum 440 water pump housing, but need to buy plug for the biggest port on housing. I marked that port on the picture, so does anyone know what is the bolt dimension and thread for this port?

I am from Europe, so here I only have metric bolts, so I need to order it from USA and need to know exact dimension :(

Thanks a lot in advance.

That hole takes a tapered pipe thread.

I just measured with my metric meter and it is about 181mm diameter, so it is not possible to be 1/2".

1/2" is 127mm diameter, so it is bigger than 1/2".

The 1/2" is measured at the inside pipe diameter, so yes, the outside threads will measure larger.......
