That's good news.

Meantime I ordered a sender from Vans, it was super cheap and has the nipple for a return line if I go with that. Any experiences dropping a tank? I was going to try to only partially drop mine but I've never dropped a tank. Any advice?

Super cheap? Is this how you determine quality?   :hah:

I'm hoping it reads correctly right away, but shouldn't I be able to test the arm by hooking it up to the blue press on wire, and grounding the sender?

Yes that would work to test it.

I went with them because I've been pretty happy with their parts so far. Just happens to be a bonus that it was inexpensive. I've been hosed before by paying more with hopes of better quality so I'm just hoping for the best  :shruggy: I'll be sure to post my experience with it though.

Is there a reason why when I hook my multi meter up to my sender, the numbers keep jumping around erratically? I've never used one before so I don know if it's user error or it doesn't work properly.

Any friends around with another meter so you can compare meters?

I'll ask my buddy tomorrow. Mine finally calms down if you let it set for a while. It still jumps a little. Anyone have a tip on calibrating or checking calibration?

I think it's 10 for full, 23 for half, and 73 for empty? Ohms I mean.  But I read that some are calibrated with linear resistance and some aren't?

It's a little slow to react and you may need to tweak it a little. I had mine in/out 3-4 times before my ADD was satisfied. You can R&R without dropping the tank though, just need to play the angle game. Once you figure it out, it's pretty easy.

Where did you get your unit, and does it read pretty accurate?
