What wiper arms/blades are correct for 1968? I have Anco with those old timey wind deflectors, and not sure if those are what came with the car and you would just change out the rubber or what? I went to NAPA just for some replacements and they sold me the entire arm with the rubber already in. I kept the old anco blades. :scratchchin:

Ghoste

The wind deflector ones would not have been stock.  The replacements are likely closer in appearance to the originals.
Although the old ANCO's have a kind of nostalgia look to them.

Thanks Ghoste.

Yes those Ancos definitely look old school.

They are called "Anti Lifts" and were available into the 70's. They were a very popular add on item. The intended design was not wind deflection, but to grab the air and press the blade against the glass. Yes, you can change the rubber. You press the red dot on the wiper and it disassembles. You install the rubber and reassemble the arch to keep the rubber in place. The blades are often found on eBay.

The pic below shows the anti lift on top and stock wiper below. The arms are Anco number 15B, the blade is a 15" wiper Trico.

any part numbers for wiper arms

I see this only - ANCO 4103

don't really want an adjustable one

I thought there were some more accurate ones in the reproduction market now?

the "Anti-Lifts" were stock on the 66 & 67 Chargers...unsure about if they came from the factory on the newer Chargers

blinkey

While I appreciate a clever comeback as much as the next fellow, I have to humbly beg your forgiveness.  I am one of the ones who doesn't know everything there is to know and I was expressing surprise at learning something new.

I hadn't looked at this the first time around since the date was 2007.
66 and 67 wiper arms were different in that 66 were chrome and 67 brushed or argent. Supposedly the glare from the chrome was a hazard so Chrysler changed it.
The anti-lift was the same, chrome in 66 and brushed in 67.  I am not sure about 68 and up.

I have a set of anti-lift wipers if someone is interested.  I was never a fan of how they looked so I never used them.

I also have several sets of the "Arms". As I recall 15 inch, I think the same as 68 if someone needs a pair. I may have a chrome set but I am certain I have a brushed set or two. I can look if someone wants any.

Bob...the wiper arms are 16" on the first gen Chargers....then in 68, they went to 15" ones

While tearing my 'Bee down I noticed I have one original and one replacement with a flange on the assembly head where it mounts to the pivot shaft. I'd be interested in a matched pair of 15" arms if you would ODZ. PM me please!
