installing a tachometer

I'd like to have a tach in the car (68 charger), but tbh I don't have a clue as to how I would fit it.  Is there a loose wire in the engine bay all ready there to plugin, or is it more complicated than that?

I thought this would have been answered before but cant find it in the search.

Just power the tach from the dark blue wire in the ignition switch harness and run a wire to the negative side of the coil.
