scoops, forced cold air intake , what ever you wanna call it

Are you going to take the head light doors off your grill ? (If you are working on a 68 69 70 Charger)

probably not,  I do have the 68 bezels as well.

I had once thought about doing the under bumper style similar to the 69 Olds but there isnt a lot of room in there for big duct tubes.  It can be done but by the time you hack and slash for the 5hp potential gain at 100mph you might as well put a scoop on the hood.

I wonder if you did like the race cars and suck air in from the firewall cowl vent area if that would make any difference

About the same as the scoops.  At 100mph you will see a detectable and worthwhile for all out racing difference.  For our cars, cool but a lot of work for a small and questionably needed average use mod.

I did it on mine, mainly because outside air is way cooler than underhood air

LOOKS cool, that's what I was originally goin to do , also had a thought of putting a hole on each side of the fire , to not only push cool air into the engine bay but also push hot air out ,   kinda like a fancy hood on these later model cars

Ghoste

I would be concerned with just putting open holes in the firewall allowing air to NOT pass through the radiator.  Path of least resistance and all. :shruggy:

mopar0166

im thinking , it wont be an issue while driving cuase your forcefully pushing air through it.  I do also have two electic puller fans as well

now seating still or traffic id think itd help hot air escape the engine space?

just my thoguht

Ghoste

Maybe.  I do know that old Mopars I've had in the past ran much hotter if they were missing that seal between the hood and the top of the rad cradle.

mopar0166

Yea, im not running the hood seal, rad seal  or hood insulation.

mine runs at about 190
