How do you achieve this without having your car look like a chalkboard 1 year later?

Dino

By using a high quality paint like SEM Hot Rod Black or by using a flattened clear.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Don't use SEM trim black. It is highly recommended on some sites. It is great for painting and covering issues late but the problem is it doesn't last. I did mine 5 years ago and I need to re spray it now.

Use eastwoods Single Stage Urethene Paint Satin Black/Hot Rod Black.
It holds up great and looks awesome.

I used SEM Hot Rod Black for my V21 hood treatment  My Mann (bill440rt) used a "dry spray" technique to mimic the factory Organasol

Very easy to care for

When did you spray it? How is it holding up? It looks great in the pictures!

it is about 1 1/2 years, so far it still looks the same as when it was sprayed.
