70 Charger battery tray mounting??

  I bought a new battery tray a while back to replace my rusty incorrect tray. With nothing to go by I Googled the subject but can't find any info? Should there be a brace that attaches some way? (I see them listed for sale but think they are a 3rd Gen. item?)
  I see it attaches to the inner fender and radiator support but if it has a brace where would it mount? Any help appreciated!

'69 has the brace.. '70 bolts to the rad support.

This is a '69 box in my '70 Bird that I need to replace.

  Okay so no brace like towards the rear of the battery tray. Your pic explains why the old stuff never made any sense with no braces when I bought the car. (20 years ago.)  I added a hunk of 6 inch steel framing stud to support the battery, it works but looks kinda funky once you notice it.  Thanks!

Also have this picture of my '69 Bee tray before I took it out. Two braces underneath and the strap to the inner fender as shown above.

If I remember correctly (I bought a 70 tray, it's somewhere in the shop), the 70 tray has ONE lower brace and bolts to the rad support at the nose of the tray. No other braces.

There will be one brace as pictured for the 67 to 69 B-Bodies and the front of the tray will bolt to the radiator support area.  The 66 and 71 to 72 B-Bodies used a different style of brace.

   Okay....so one brace to the rear, the kind with a bend in the middle like 69 has 2 of. See parts listings online show several types, with some places listing for 70 Charger conflicting with other parts/listings. (Hence my confusion.) Even Google image search with various wording didn't help.
   Again thanks for the input, stuff for 70 year model can get tricky sometimes.

The 2nd one is the correct brace for a 70 B-Body. John.

  Thanks John! Ordered one from eBay, 8.99 shipped. Put my hunk of framing steel back for now with new tray.    I've got repairs to do when brace gets here anyway. Looks like that brace leaves room for UCA adjusting access.
