I prefer the 70, obviously, as I bought one. But, I think the 68 has the best grille, and the 69 and 70 have the better looking tail lights. But, the 70 has the high back buckets.....

Arguments could be made for either, but the most serious strike against the 70 is also it's best attribute. Low volume. As mentioned in this thread, lot's of 1 year only parts. Front end most notably.

Just scored a pair of rust free fenders for mine from Arizona after months of looking. Which made me nervous of the future, so I'm keepin my rusty originals, just in case.....

Could that "low volume" be as a result of the front end looking so ugly that not many people bought them after the far prettier (IMO of course!!!.....LOL) 68/69 models......just a thought!

Get a 70, with all the benefits that gives.....and fit a 68/69 front end to it! Boom......its a winner!

Moreso the result of the newly designed Challenger, redesigned 'cuda and IIRC all of the "muscle" rigs were redesigned (like every year back then) eating into overall sales.

For me, it was coming down to either a '68 or '70.  The 1st time I seen a purple & white '70 C500 did it for me.
I always liked the rigs that looked like they had an open mouth about to eat the cars in front of it.  Pretty sure there's a few Fords I liked as well for that reason.

I did have a couple inspections done on '69's back when I was looking hard.  Almost picked up a '69 R/T SE, blue hardtop, white stripe, can't remember the rest.  These were the days of using Hemmings Motor News & Auto Trader, before ebay, etc.
I remember trying to sell a '72 Charger in Hemmings.  It was a mess, ended up being almost 6 months before it got listed, lol.

I don't have a '70 picked out. Funny labia comment tho! And I never saw the razor resemblance before now.
I'm the kind that makes what I want. So I wouldn't be happy with an original plum crazy, highly optioned perfect '70, or any other "dream" car cause I can just make one anyway. It would be a restomod so a lowly base model is best. I was just thinking is all... Maybe someday. Guess I gotta get the '70 Coronet with hideaways and the Daytona so it might be a few months yet.  :D
Thanks all for listening
Here's the 6x9:

:coolgleamA: yes I remember your 69 now  ,  looks mean  :drool5: :coolgleamA: :2thumbs: ,
the build plan on this 70 charger idea , was/is  it going to be the same as your 69 , so it will end up being pretty much the same car , only just looking like a 70 ? , if that's the case  , would keep the 69  :scratchchin: :shruggy: :popcrn:

In today's market I find it irreplaceable. Apparently this perfect universe of ours included me and my Charger.
I'm gonna go drive it, you know, just to be sure.
