What the hell happened to MATS???

First it was called "Mopars at the Strip", then "Moparty at the Strip" and now it's called "Muscle Cars at the Strip".

WTF :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

Check this YouTube video that I got from their website and at the 6:30 mark that's when my jaw dropped. I had no ideal this was taking place before seeing this video. They're adding Chevy and Ford to this event. Although it seems that Mopar takes precedence but adding Chevy & Ford to the show in all aspects. Show, race and swap. Again WTF! Very discouraging in my world. This event is getting way too commercialized and I started seeing the hints in the 2015 show. But I never thought that they would bring the "other" guys in the mix.

I don't what to expect, I may not want to set-up a swap space with the mixed crowd. I don't see it being a positive if you're die-hard Mopar only enthusiast like I am.

Thanks for reading, I welcome your opinions.

Money is the root of all evil!  :eek2:
Every car show in my area has 99.9% Ford and Chevy participants so I used to go to MOPARS at the strip to get my Mopar overdose. Guess not anymore....

I don't have a horse in this race so to speak, but if you want to expose more people to your side of the hobby and draw in the younger generation to pass the torch to, it certainly wouldn't hurt to go and have fun anyways.

There will still be plenty of Mopars there if so. Any car show is better than no car show, right?

There's that aspect of it also.  Especially with the EPA and the government trying to choke the car hobby, spreading any sort of good will and even uniting secular car fans will only help the car hobby in the long run.  Let those guys make their money, let car hobbyists stand together united, let the government and anyone else trying to kill the hobby F off.  I love Mopars too, but Mopar fans can no longer afford to go it alone...

It really could be a matter of survival. For some odd reason, the Mopar following is much  stronger in the Midwest and east coast. Vegas and L.A. are great weather spots but the Mopar shows are really small compared to Carlisle and Columbus.
I went to the Vegas show their first 2 years but haven't been back since. Drag racing isn't my thing. The show and swap are what I like. The Vegas swap is not impressive enough to drive 8 1/2 hours. The event isn't big enough to spend the weekend there like the Van Nuys Spring Fling show.
