Floor pans.... AMD vs. Goodmark

I tried searching for a topic about this but I couldn't find one.  I'm in the process of ordering metal for my 70.  Lots and lots of metal.  I know everyone prefers AMD quarters and fenders, but what about floor pans?  Goodmark has a full front floor pan for $231.25.  AMD has the same panel for $450.00.  Am I wasting money if I get the Goodmark floor pan? I just don't see any need paying over $200 more for AMD if the Goodmark panel will work.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the replies guys  :2thumbs: There are a lot of mixed emotions about goodmark on that cuda and challenger link. Anyone have experience with a 68-70 charger goodmark full front floor? Their trunk pan is quite a bit cheaper as well.

If I speak from my own experience... I bought a goodmark rear valance panel for my '68 ten years ago (because AMD didn't exist back then) and the sheet metal is thinner than the AMD rear valance that I bought a few years ago for my '69.

I installed a good mark full floor in my 70. Fitment was good. I have one goodmark rear floorpan and one amd rear floor. They play together well. They were almost identical too. Fitment was the same on both. Didn't notice a difference in thickness. Save yourself some money and go with goodmark :2thumbs:

I agree... Your not going to run into much if any alignment problems that will affect anything other panels.
Go with the goodmark I like to use amd when things need to line up. But any always put on a good coat of POR 15 so you never have to worry about rust

I installed a goodmark full front floor and firewall in my 73 charger and it all fit quite well, very little massaging to make it fit. I have the entire bottom of my 69 charger on goodmark panels. The company I order them from owns goodmark (LKQ) and if you don't specify when you order you get goodmark. I have floors firewall to taillights, front and rear frame rails, all crossmembers and inner and outer rockers. When my rear rails showed up one was goodmark and one was AMD. This is because when the goodmark part is back ordered LKQ automaticity subs in AMD. I took this opertunity to campare apples to apples so to speak, I have to say the two are almost identical. Thickness, captive nuts, factory stamped holes, inner bracing as so on. I believe that I will have no issues with this stuff for my car from the Comparisons I have done to the original parts so far. That said I went solely AMD on my outer sheet metal because I know it's good stuff and that's what everyone sees.
