Don't believe everything you read.

Performance Car Graphics has this info on their site....I challenge it's accuracy.

Proof:

--Pic of my trunk lid....sticker obviously was on driver side.

--Pic of engine bay snagged from a members post.....emissions decal placement is almost always here.  I don't think I've every seen one where Performance says it goes.  (EDIT.....Performance is correct on this placement)

The emission decal was discussed not too long ago and I thought it did belong on the passenger side. Just stick all of them on the rear bumper where they belong!   :2thumbs:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

68 cars had the emissions decal on the passenger side inner fender top , in front of the  windshield washer  reservoir  , 69 &  70 , are on the driver side , where the arrow  points to in the picture HV posted ,

i'm no expert & not seen enough unrestored original paint & to the car dec lids , to be 100%  , but  what ive found is

Hamtramck  built  cars  , 68 & 69   jack decal top left
St Louis  built cars  68 /69    jack decal top right  &  1970 models could be top or bottom right  :scratchchin:

having said all this !  there is prolly going to be a unrestored 70 charger with jack instructions on the top left , turn up on ebay tomorrow  :cryin: :P

I read somewhere that the jack instruction decal was generally paced on the side of the trunk lid where the jack was stored...

Alrighty...good info.   I stand corrected for the '68 emissions decal.   :2thumbs:

I searched quite a bit for an original sticker pic for '68 and couldn't find one.  Glad I could get a verification of the emissions info printed by Performance.

yes I always thought that , but ! not the case with St Louis built cars , well all the original deck paint / unrestored  lids ive seen & if the deck lid is original to the car ! ( ie not been swapped / replaced with another , for some  in the past ), did save a few pictures , on this very subject , but lost a load of good info , few years back when computer  blew up  :icon_smile_blackeye: .
