1.) I see on Graveyard cars that the exhaust manifolds are painted engine color, is that correct?
2.) what shade of black is the grill center on the C-500?
3.) suggestions on where I can have the original radiator restored.  It doesnt leak but has some ratty looking fins and some dents and dings.

Thanks!  I am sure I will have more questions.

number 1: don't watch Graveyardcrud, you'll only learn "how not to restore your car properly"
number2: the manifolds were installed bare on the engine prior to painting, "OVERSPRAY" will vary greatly depending on WHO was painting the engine at the time, to as little as almost nothing around the exhaust manifold mating port/flanges, on up to almost full coverage of an exhaust manifold itself, restorations today take it to extremes, generally the exhaust manifolds saw little paint, the bottom of the oil pan saw minimal coverage as well, all depends how enthusiastic the line worker was that day
number 3: the majority of C500 grills I've seen on unrestored cars displayed about a 30% gloss reduction in Gloss Black
number 4: toss the old numbers radiator, for a new "numbers" radiator from Glen-Ray, you won't know the difference, they are that good, they come complete ready to bolt in out of the box, no need to buy anything else, cap or overflow hose/clips/etc that's all included

Glen-Ray is the best.   I bought one, they added an extra row, you can't tell at all.   I can idle all day long in Carolina heat, no problem.
