Looking for proper routing of fuel line from pump to carb

Hi All
just like it says. My routing is hideous and incorrect. I am not sure exactly how it should be at the front of the 383 towards the carb. Especially around the dizzy.  Pictures would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

The fuel line and filter from the pump run behind the alternator making the filter a chore to replace on a 383. I've attached a picture of the filter and line leaving the fuel pump on my 383 2BBL. If the alternator were in place you wouldn't be able to see it at all. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks.  This is the kind of info I need. My routing  is completely wrong and I want to redo it to make it look better and to minimize the rubber hose for safety.

So I finally ordered my lines from fine lines. I have ignored this issue for way too long. Unfortunately the lines I ordered say they are for a 383 Holley four-barrel but they look nowhere near long enough or right to fit. I ordered kit RPC 68070 M. Did I get the wrong one?

I am not sure it it is anything like my 73 Charger but it has lots of bends. Looks to be similar routing but if you look at the various sites it si different in 73-4.  Don't know why but here is a pic of the line.

I have a 440 and ordered a set of lines that looked very similar to yours and did not come close to fitting.  I have a Firecore RTR distributor and was have issues routing the line behind it, not to mention boiling fuel issues and the filter problem mentioned before.  All this led me to route the fuel line with the filter mounted on my inner fender, then over the valve cover to the carb.  I also had room to insulate the line.  No more boiling fuel and easy access to the filter.

Good info! Mine was on the fender as well but I was concerned about too much rubber hose. Can you please post pictures of your fuel line set up?
