Saw this on eBay. It was a members car (Hessain) but he sold it back in October of 2014 for 33k. But now it's on eBay for 37k with different rims and a 2006 hemi, instead of the 2004 that Hessain sold it with, if that's even true. Wonder if he's seen this
First post was his when he sold it, second is of car on eBay.

Hi Luke

Yup... that was mine.  I sold it in 2014 to a well known collector in Arkansas.  He put took off the vectors and put the dish wheels on it and LED lights.  The engine (at least from the pics in the new eBay auction) is still the one I had when I sold it.   He also added a bunch of stickers from the looks of it.

The person who originally restored it (forum member: Deathproofme) sold it to me on eBay in 2011 or 12.   I had it shipped from CA to VA and it was a nightmare.  If anyone wants to troll through my old posts you'll see some more of the car.

In any event, thanks for posting this.  It's good to see her again.  Someone will get a great restomod Charger with that one.

no trying to insult you or anything, but do you really think the car is worth 37k?  :shruggy:

1974dodgecharger

not trying to insult either since your a member here, but 30lk plus for that charger?  I always thought modded cars don't bring value, but obviously this one did as a Frankenstein.  When I read the description here I assumed original everything excepted added rims and a modern HEMI, but then I looked at the ebay and it was well different than I thought.

I cant even sell mine for 10k alone.....and keep getting low balled....even further down to 5k.  ::)

Modded cars don't bring money when the mods are unique (read: unpopular).

A '69 with Vector wheels and a new Hemi has broad appeal.

But I agree that $37 seems like too much for that car.

mines NOT UNIQUE at all...I consider this Unique due to modern HEMI, gas in trunk, etc...not many would want that...in general they like to fill up that gas with stock cap opening, flip it and fill it, lol...

congrats to original seller selling it I look at that and see only 15k  granted he does have vintage air that's 2k and I think will always retain value.....

No offense taken.  I'm not the one selling it on eBay now for 37k --it's the gentleman who bought it from me here on the forums back in 2014.

myk

I don't think the price is TOO far out there.  Body looks straight and rust free, it runs, drives, looks like it works otherwise.  I'd say it's a little high but it IS gouge-bay...

Charger_Fan

I think there is a "T" missing on his license plate. :D

I dunno if I'd pay quite what the seller is trying for, but it does look like a decent driver. I see it's wearing some pretty huge sway bars, I would really like to see how much body roll the car has with those. Cool console, too! :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

lukedukem

IMO, if he didn't change the paint its not worth that much. in the pictures from the listing on here when Hessain sold it the pint looked weird, on the fender and hood and door gap, there where some spots that looked lighter, not uniform. i posted a pick of my car, not the best, to compare it to.
but it could be the lighting or different paint too. IDK, it just seems the paint should be better.

I do not understand why people cover up their tag plate ? :-\ what's the big deal, :scratchchin: The where you live info is on the sellers page and it's shown to the whole world when you drive down the highway. :eyes:

The listing now says "Ended". I'm guessing he got his buy it now price. Although the the current bid was 29,600

Hey Luke

Yup that's the same car.  The gentleman. Driving it is the one who built/modded it and who sold it to me. Real nice guy. I hope whoever got it enjoys it.  It's an awesome rode.  I still miss it but I'm enjoying my Hellcat.  One day I'll put another 69 in the stable.
