hello all i dont know if i'm judging these wrong but as i'm rebuilding my front end at the moment i'm a some what ball joint expert not  :rotz: but i noticed on this charger that the ball joints seem wrong are they c body ball joints or am i see things if you compare these to a b body lower ball joint the c body arm its longer  is this another shonk job or do these fit ok      http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Charger-Bullitt-/381546959421?forcerrptr=true&hash=item58d5f8923d:g:Wn4AAOSwzgRWwkb5&item=381546959421

BLK 68 R/T

I would not try to compare using that car as an example. Find a better car or Google lower ball joints and go from there.  Nice looking car until you start looking close  :eek2:

ht4spd307

not trying to compare but i didn't  realize c body ball joints would fit a b body as the c arm is 2 inchs longer :shruggy: wouldn't this upset the whole steering geometry that's if they are c body ball joints

fc7_plumcrazy

think VG just buys the cars "as is"

Nice oil pan

Luke

187  C -body  pan  , think  they are the factory pan to have  ,  according to the A -body mob . when dropping a 383/ 440 into a Dart or Barracuda  :scratchchin:  , no Baffling in this pan though , to stop oil slop , had one of these pans on the 69 imperial motor that was in my charger when I got it .

right. you would think on an expensive tranny like that they would make the effort to protect it

that sure looks like a 100k restoration to me...that rear axle, suspension and under dash metal components must have been restored to a 40 year old shitty finish appearance. i hope van gaurd doesnt sell any of these cars to people

Maybe they left it off for the pics, to show off the purty red pressure plate. :icon_smile_tongue:

The top side of the car sure looks nice, and I like the F.I. & 6-speed. I would love to cruise that baby! But I think I'd have to paint that rear end...I wonder why they kinda cleaned it off, then just left it? Hell, even a quickie rattle-can semi gloss black would look better than this.
Maybe the $100K ran out right when they got to the rear end?

No idea why the '70 K-member...actually, they say it's a '71, do those interchange? I forget.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yes it do- strange how the underside is so bad.   :shruggy:  It looks like my car underneath, save for the new shocks.

"No expense spared"?  How about a $3.98 can of black spray paint to at least put something on the rear end?  The ad refers to a "very original undercarriage" ... which is interesting on a "no expense spared" restoration.  Usually Vanguard's cars are just expensive but I don't recall the ads being misleading.  Sure anyone can figure out with a simple check of he VIN and they don't call it a RT but for the true novices perhaps they should say "RT badging added" or "RT clone"?

WOW!!! 5 years and a $100,000 doesn't get you much with a well known "Mopar Restoration Shop" in California.

I agree, the entire underside of the car looks terrible and the rear window trim fitment is horrendous

Holy crap I was paying attention to the other flaws of this Charger that I didn't even notice the rear window trim fitment.

80K and you're going to roll out a car with the trim looking like that  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

I didn't think a Richmond 6spd would go into a B-body that well.  The crossmember attachment underneath doesn't look too hacked and the floor hump inside the cabin isn't bulged too far up either.

But yeah, the resto was obviously not a no-expense-spared deal.  Not even close.

I got scared when I saw the first shots just of the open doors , rusty screw and bolt heads , but didn't expect the to have cut cnrs so badly
no even a spray bomb to the underside  :popcrn:  :o :o

HPT BANDIT

For a 5 year build, the attention to detail just isn't there.

Arigmaster

Very poor job on the interior... Not much attention to detail... Yea, then there is the back window trim and undercarriage.

As is it's at best a 30K car. If they spent 100K on the restoration... They were ripped off.
