general lee was my first sight of a charger as a kid watching re-runs from the early 90's

I'm taking "Favorite Charger" in the literal sense, and saying this is my favorite particular Charger in the world. Steve strope's NASCAR inspired 68.

My second pick is his 515GTB build:

My third favorite is the fast 7 version of Dom's 70.

Blade's...followed by a toss-up for the ones in "Drive Angry" and "Deathproof".

This the first poll I've voted in on this site (excuse the noob! ha.) Do the results of the poll show up after the polling period is over? On other forums I've been on it populates the results after you vote - just curious.

I voted for Fast & Furious (assuming that meant the first one - there were quite a few iterations of the Charger in the other ones) since Fast and Furious was sorta the start of me seriously wanting a Charger and  :drool5: ing over the one from F&F.

That car is awesome. The details are great. I'd change the color and make the wheels more nascar loyal though.

My Dads pal's 69 was the one that got my attention. DMCL blew my mind, so it gotta be that yellow-green flash.

All such polls should include "None of the above".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Dukes for me.
I watched the Dukes of Hazzard in the UK during the '80's as a kid and I never new what make and model the General Lee was.

As for Steve Stropes '68. Wow! I want one just like that!

Would love to find out more about that car!

Mine...because it's mine.   :yesnod:

I wouldn't really want any of the listed cars, not without some mods.  But if I had to choose then I'd pick the Bullit Charger, with bigger wheels.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

fc7_plumcrazy

hard to believe how many people wrote "Bullit" including the vote itself.
The name of the film is "Bullitt".

Carsten

Homerr

WHITE AND RED 69 with a manual transmission wasn't on the list, so I voted Bullitt.

G-man

I grew up loving the General lee and the entire series of Dukes of Hazard, but I would not want to build a GL for myself.
I love the idea of the FAF charger, black with blower because the concept behind it is to look badas. But it is a 70 model. I would rather a 69 Black with a blower with a possible 68 Grill.

So what am I supposed to vote

I wonder why I chose "Bullitt"  :shruggy:

Bullitt                                  1968 Charger
Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry   1969 Charger
Dukes of Hazzard                 1969 Charger
Fast & Furious                     1970 Charger

 :scratchchin:

The General Lee got my vote!! I'm a sucker for movie car's especially charger's. The black 70 in the first fast and furious movie was sharp tho and I can watch that ending over and over and never get tired of it. If it wasn't for the dukes I would never have bought a charger so that's why the General got my vote!! Love all these movies and the charger's that are in them. Burn notice has a sharp charger in it too!! So many more to mention like said above the blade charger is freakin bad ass too!!!

Charger_Fan

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

phantom

Voted F&F, meaning the '70 in the first movie. The bad ass look made an impression to me then, and although i was aware of the 2 gen chargers before i saw that movie, it was only pictures in magazines i could relate to. F&F was the first "live" pictures i remember of the 2 gen Charger.

I remember i was a little annoyed they left the headlight doors open on the car in that movie, cause i thought that was one of the coolest feature on those cars, all black grille with no headlights :)

XS29L

Those movie and TV Chargers are cool but the Chi-town Hustler, as raced in 1969 , is just plain WICKED !    I guess I'm just a drag racer at heart.
MOPAR OR NO CAR !!

F8-4life

You can't beat the GL for the cultural impact and letting the world know about how cool chargers are.
The dmcl charger is very cool no doubt but defiantly has a 70's vibe to it with the slots and 440 side strip.
Not really a fan of the f & f '70 charger, I was into these cars before that so it did not really effect me.
As for the cars themselves and what I would want to own the most ( and the way I voted), it's the bullitt  charger defiantly.
A triple black '68 rt just outclasses the others in my book.

I voted for the General Lee.  I watched the Dukes Of Hazzard when it was first on TV in 79 and have loved Chargers ever since.

My second vote would be the 68 Charger from Bullitt.

DAY CLONA

I voted for the Bullitt, although the 68 is my least favorite of the 2nd Gens, a triple black 2nd Gen  Charger, even with hupcaps is just pure evil looking, never been a GL fan of the car or show, and F&F look is just not for me

RCCDrew

Yeah I wish there were more choices. But for my personal tastes the ultimate Charger hasn't been built yet.
