So sad, OCC went through bankruptcy in 2011.

I was just wondering whatever happened to that show.  I quit watching after getting so tired of al the arguing between Sr. and Jr.  I guess they never made up huh?

Thats a poorly written article. OCC is still around.

Leaves out the facf that OCC 'lost' the building to foreclosure years ago. Theyve been leasing it from the bank since and just renewed. Essentially, whoever wins the auction becomes OCCs new landlord.

The key thing to always remember is the fact these guys made their fortunes on merchandising..not building bikes. It will be interesting to see how much they can hold on to now that few want any of the junk with their logo on it.

Seems like sales of T-shirts and trinkets are a nice profit center.   Separate the suckers from their money.  Or at least a couple fingers worth.

Did you see that Gas Monkey now has their name on an energy drink?    Really?

Please, Gas Monkey would put their name on a box of tampons if someone would pay them..

and laugh all the way to the bank  :yesnod:  one of the few shows I can watch without wanting to vomit  :Twocents:

Richard is a dick ,acts like a dick  and gets away with it . why is it that the other shows can't get this right.

although A- ron  and his beard could go away and I wouldn't notice  :icon_smile_wink:

they don't take themselves or anyone else seriously  , even the "mandatory drama " is funny  :scratchchin:

I liked gas monkey better when they were a small shop. never did like occ. you can only build the same bike so many times.

Ass Monkey is more appropriate.

Yep. I remember in the mid 00's you couldn't walk into Walmart without bumping against something with the OCC logo on it. And every kid had an OCC themed/branded bicycle. I never watched the show...i found the Jesse James shows a little more entertaining. Marginally, but I liked it better.

I've never understood the dislike for Richard Rawlings.  The man's out to make money; he's a wheeler and dealer.  He's not trying to be nice or anyone's friend.  And yeah, he's got a lot of money and wealth going on.  Is that what people hate about him?

I dont have an issue w. him. Yes, he is a dick, but he doesnt take himself too seriously so hes at least likeable. Contrast with Jesse James, Paul Sr, Boyd Coddington, etc...who were mean dicks...

The dude from GYC is somewhere in the middle.

I like Richard Rawlings. its just that the show was better when they had to figure things out with a low budget. it was more entertaining. now, parts and stuff appears out of thin air, and the cars aren't even close to what average joes can build if they wanted to. that's why I prefer the guys that are in their old shop. things are just too 'million dollar' now for my taste.  my 2 cents
