I lost my '74 Rallye 360, 4spd & my '69 383, 4spd Charger's, and my '90 4x4 Ramcharger 360, 4spd lifted be cause of my ex-wife. I'll never ask another woman out ever again. If there is a woman that wants to go out with me, she can ask me, because I'll tell her right out, unless she is into old cars as much as me, to not bother me.

that car would vanish before she got a penny out of it...poof gone  :shruggy:  stripped, then theft recovered and sold to a friend for pennies on the dollar. thats how she would get paid on the value of the car. years later i would miraculously find a craigslist add that had all the parts to put her back together after i bought it back from that friend.

if you've got your head screwed on at all the first thing to do when "the shit  starts to hit the fan"  is "sell " them to a "trusted "friend at a greatly reduced price    . bill of sale and all    :Twocents:

you will note I said "trusted"  friend , don't  think this wouldn't work with an acquaintance or work colleague  :scratchchin:

it worked for me but    :yesnod:  they(court ) never saw a car/parts  or boat cause I didn't own them any more

and bills of sale were used to calculate "wealth" so she got screwed  as well

I won't bother you guys with telling what I all lost because of my divorce but let's say that I had to start again from zero.
NEVER AGAIN!

I don't understand marriage and long term relationships period.  How do you not get sick of someone, anyone, if they're around you for more than 5 minutes?  That's how I've always felt, and no pair of tits has ever tempted me into feeling any different...

I guess im just lucky. My soon to be wife loves muscle cars, has a 72 nova, and just got her nhra supergas license....

Never loved anything my whole life; maybe the car?  I don't know what love is, but I have a feeling many other people don't either: enter America's divorce rate.  I congratulate those of you who have experienced otherwise...

I guess this thread is a majority of the single/divorced guys and their Chargers or once owned Chargers.

First off, great pic Chris :2thumbs:.

A bitch with an attitude. Writing all over the Charger, taking up 2 parking spots. It has mean spirited girl written all over it. However you might have gotten a good deal on it before it were to get hijacked. She wanted some spending cash and it out of her life for revenge.

Me, single, no kids, never married and own a Charger. I don't know what I'm missing and I don't want to find out. I've heard way too many horror stories to take a step in that direction. I did the GF thing for about 3 years with her 2 kids and living with me in my house. That was enough and as close as I ever got. Thank god I didn't because her life spun for the worse after we broke up, drug users and alcoholics.

I'm not here to criticize married guys/gals, if that's working for you then great :2thumbs:

Doubt SHE did that.  Looks like devaluing of an asset, aka, "Scorched Earth".

Too true. Some would argue that love isn't necessary for a successful marriage (only mutual respect)  but I ain't takin' any chances.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

First, the tits must be a matched pair. It helps if you don't have to spend $6000 to get them installed aftermarket. OEM tits probably have a lower divorce rate.
Second, The owner of said tits needs to be independent enough to not NEED you, but open hearted enough to WANT you.
Finally, you'l find a thousand different suggestions on relationships and how they work. Each person in this world is unique enough that one mans advice may not work for another. I was married at 24 and divorced at 27. I met my current wife when I was 34 and feel solid in this relationship. 16 years and still laughing and loving every day.

I'll be married 9 years tomorrow and I love every minute of it.  I wouldn't be where I am without her and life wouldn't mean all that much without her either.  I love my car, no doubt, but it's hardly the same.  She gave me the car as a gift by the way.

I remember my bachelor days where it was me and my 68, and I would never want to go back to that time again.  It was fun but too empty.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

If she's not your best friend, don't marry her. I've been married to mine for 21+ years. It's getting better all the time, and she doesn't even care much about cars. If I like something and am happy with it she's happy for me. When you think everything has to be about you, or she thinks everything has to be about her, that's when the problems start.

How can anyone get sick of someone they love?

If I understood you correctly... you do not have a healthy outlook on life. :slap:

Sometimes, well intentioned people get tired of rejection and just withdraw from the dating scene. Nowadays, women can be more superficial than they used to be. In many years past, an average looking man with a job could get a woman far above his "pay grade". Now it seems that some women want more than ever. People talk of the pressure that society places on women but it does go both ways. My brother in law is a great guy but at 30, has never even been engaged. He is a nice looking guy with a decent job but has trouble meeting and keeping decent, quality women.
The good hearted women are out there hiding in the shadows. I met mine on the internet! I used to hang out in bars and dance clubs. I met a wide variety of women but never felt a bond with any of them for very long. After 6 years of being divorced, my sister started an internet personal ad for me. This was before any of the big name sites that are out today, waaay back in 1998. No eharmony, Match.com, POF or the others.
I wanted to be married again but it had to be with the right woman. I was not going to marry just to be married.
My wife likes cars. She even goes to some car shows with me. She never complains about the $$$ I spend on the cars. We have no kids, just 4 dogs. I support her interests, she supports mine. It works for us. She was 28 when we met, never married before, never had kids with anyone. Her parents are still together. She is a fantastic woman on paper and in person.
Do not give up. Relationships are more than sex, they are more than having a dinner partner.

Slapping me isn't going to get me to see things your way.  I already told you the thing you people call love is an alien concept to me.

First off, I'd like to point to the high divorce rates and degree of infidelity not just here, but the world over.  Love is a farce, as far as I'm concerned, perpetuated by mass media and the social elite to keep us pursuing some distant dream of fulfillment; distracting us from the hard truth that life is ultimately meaningless and that our only purpose now is to add to the fat of people in power, and impregnating women to continue perpetuating the labor force, while they reward us with little trinkets and toys like pretty orange cars with fancy wheels to convince us that we're actually accomplishing something worthwhile...

I copied and pasted that from my old myspace days; what do you think?  As for healthy outlooks, give me a break.  I'm not a substance abuser, I pay my taxes, I don't litter, and I have an America First political view.  Just because I didn't cry during the movie Titanic doesn't mean I'm broken...
