Physically are they the same size the 572 is stroked and bored out to its max right?

Does one have to install it from the bottom or can u drop it from top.

You can drop it in from the top with difficulty.  The valve covers on a Tim Banning FHO 572 are slightly taller.  You may have clearance issues to the passenger shock tower using a standard K frame and Schumacher mounts.  Mine has just enough (1/4"), but cars vary.  You'll need a 3 speed wiper motor that lays flat against the firewall if you use a dual quad setup.  Rock auto sells a replacement that can be modified slightly rather than pay exhorbitant prices for an original (you need a new wiper motor crank if you currently have a two speed motor).  The blower motor shaft will have to be shortened slightly so the case can be moved closer to the firewall.  Hood insulation has to be cutout in the pattern of the air cleaner top.  You may need a flexible transmission dipstick.  It's a tight fit in my 69.

It screams.

Ray,
Thx for that info....is there another k member thats better than the std one for big blocks?

Bandit360

I don't think a hemi K frame makes the engine less massive in the same space, even if it's positioned slightly differently.  It's a giant powerful engine.  It's a tight fit everywhere.  Take your time and drop it in, then solve the clearance problems one by one on shock tower, blower and wiper motor etc.  It can be done.  The Schumacher mounts work well.
Best to get a definitive answer on fitment atop a hemi K frame from someone who has done both.
Hemi K frames are an exotic piece, scarce, and priced accordingly.  That may be the way to go if you're building an exact replica, and concerned with originality.  Correct date stamping on every part is important to some.  It's not how I roll.
