No way that Charger is worth that kind of money !!  As for your question about the wheels, TERRIBLE and definitely detract from the classic 2nd Gen looks. If it ain't an original Hemicar with the original engine, they were just throwing money away spending it like they did on this ride.

Not the best wheels, but wouldn't look so bad if they brought the body down over the wheels a bit.  IMO

Hardly qualified as a Pro Tourer with that ride height, and leafsprings IMO. And for the wheels, they loose their looks with that ride height, they would have looked alot better with the car 2-3" lower. Not my choice of wheels either, but each to their own. I like the slammed/20" with 6" lip-look, but thats me   :cheers:

The wheels are OK.  I'm more into the classic American stuff like Torq Thrusts and whatnot, but I wouldn't throw that car out of the garage...

Have you priced Forgeline wheels? Those particular ones are about $1,300 each ($5,200 total).

not for me :down:  ,    think 15" wheels  look the best   :Twocents:  

although  some modern 16 / 17 inch  wheels  look good / ok ! , & with new tire technology are  superior in a lot of ways .
    Also  some 16 inch  wheels like the rallye   & magnums  , look good in that size , & don't really stand out  as much being a 16 inch wheel , got a wider selection of tires too  :coolgleamA:

They may be $5k wheels but I can go down to discount tire and buy the same looking wheels if I wanted for $250ea, they just look like something a teenager would put on their honda. Chargers have to have some dish on them

The fitment is wrong on those wheels. Too much negative offset.

If they had an extra inch of positve offset to bring them flush with the fenders, they'd look way better.  Not to mention lowering the ride height. Why is it in 4x4 mode? Definately makes the wheels look worse.

Those hood stripes bother me the most. They dont fill the scallops at all. They're just two rectangles stuck on there.

It wouldnt take much to fix it though.

Agree for $220k they could have replaced the leafsprings and gone with a 6 speed!

Wheels are not to my taste....  I went with 17" wheels because of the brakes so I don't want to appear to be a hypocrite but it more of a taste preference.  I went with 17" magnum 500s to try to preserve the appearance as much as possible.

Everything kills the car when it is priced at that amount.
Even an original Hemi Daytona restored to OEM standards would be hard pressed to pull that $$$.

can't say the wheels do anything for me, but they aren't that bad, I've seen worse, like people putting 24 or 27 inch wheels on a car not designed for them.

I know some prefer the look of 14 inch wheels, but just finding 14 inch tires Is now getting harder and harder just to find normal replacement rubber, its pretty much special orders now. I put on 17 inch magnum 500s primarily to get the width I wanted, and the magnum 500 looks which I'd always wanted on my car.  Didn't buy them to impress judges at shows, just wanted a wheel that would safely hold a mounted 235  tire.  That width is as close as I could come to the L50-15 bias ply tires I had on it for 20 years in storage.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

My thoughts exactly  :yesnod: Forgeline are up there among the best wheel makers, but these were just boring on that Charger.

They don't kill it...   the fact he's trying to get over $200K kills it.   
  Nice car but has way too much into the resto to ever break even... or close to it.

True.  But there's no way around it.  The flat-faced wheel offset is a necessary part of a modernized front end geometry.
