Vinly top is sapost to be black. Can it turn green over time? You know like bleaching out.

I never saw a v-roof turn green being black originally

That's what I thought to but some told me gater top only came in black so what would you think? It looks just like gater top.

Gator or Cobra grain?

The mottled black & brown Gator tops were a 1970 thing on Chargers, the green Cobra grain came along later.

What year is the car?

1970 "gator grain" vinyl tops V1G are BROWN on all cars ..... they turn black with age, if they were black from the beginning - they would've been recommended on all colors, not a select few.

my G-grandpas 70 green Coronet 500 had Gatorgrain, shiny Black.  seen a 70 green Charger 500 318 w/Gatorgrain on Big Pine Key mm#33 in the FL.Key's around 1999-2000 (videotaped it 2wice).  it had the same pattern as my gramps' black top but looked Greenish (falling off) after yrs-yrs-yrs exposed outside in the FL.Keys sunshine everyday.  here was its fender tag:

If I can't find the piece I had off my car. I am so f__ked at this point decause that was the only piece I had to hey this was on this car. I sure wish I could find my fender tag or data sheet ( build sheet ). Also my came out of Texas and sat in the sun for yrs and there wasn't much left.
