Their new concept car, the Buick Avista, just revealed.  Seen here:

The same platform as the Camaro and Cadillac ATS, with a twin turbo V6.  Is this the car to get younger buyers in a Buick?

Nice of them to put a Chrysler 300 grill on it.  :Twocents:

myk

If it's a younger buyer they're going to gravitate towards Camaro and possibly ATS no matter what Buick does.  Their friends will have Camaros, some of their parents or uncles and aunts might be driving ATS's.  What reason is there to buy a Buick?

The Chinese market is the reason Buick still exists.  That may be factoring into it.

Really looks like a Chrysler front end.  Then again, most new cars have looked alike for the last 20 years.

I think Buick should.  They've had several key muscle cars throughout the years like the GNX and the turbo GN, this could fill in that area just as well.  Put it in China as well.  Introduce them to American muscle.

Other than Mopars , I have been a Buick guy since I was a teenager , had a few from regular Skylarks , to v8 Buicks for the track I used to race ( 350's and 455's ) , then into the Turbo Buicks , that I still have ,  which only lived for a couple years , well ,  84 and 85 were not intercooled , and were nothing to get excited about  , so the 86 and 87's were the good ones.  With that ,because of GM dropping the rear wheel drive for 1988 ,  the GNX was made , to go out with a bang  .
A couple years ago they started talking about re - introducing the GN and GNX on the Cadillac platform , and it was to be a four door . Good thing they didn't , and as far as this concept car goes , and this is coming from a Buick guy , I don't think they should make it , the younger crowd has the Camaro , Mustang , and Challenger to pick from which offer great performance/parts/etc . Can't imagine it would be a good seller .
They should have their last hurrah in performance be the Turbo Buicks of the late 80's . :Twocents:
